I've not eaten crab very often...so I'm really a novice and want to do things right.
Recently we ate fresh crab that we bought from a fresh fish market...it was cooked (steamed?)...we just brought it home and picked it apart...eating it with lemon slices and cocktail sauce....and I enjoyed it.
Now...if I buy a frozen whole crab....can I just thaw it and eat it..or will it change in texture and be mushy and therefore should be eaten some other way?.....and when it thaws how do I know what parts (innards?) to toss and what to save?
For you experts this probably seems trivial but it's important to me.
