We call your attention to The S1 Safety Syringe:
It contains a patented, but simple mechanism for protecting health workers from accidental needle sticks.
This mechanism keeps the needle surrounded by a plastic barrel before and after usage.
When ready for use, depressing a simple lever enables proper positioning of the needle.
After the injection, pressing the lever again retracts the needle.
A simple quarter turn of the tube then disables the mechanism and prevents exposure of the needle though disposal.
